Norfolk Airport (Franklin-Norfolk Airport / Heenan-Menfi Memorial Airport / 32M, MA07), was located in Franklin-Norfolk Massachusetts, 24.5 mi (39.4 km) SW of Boston Logan Intl Airport. I visited Norfolk Airport in 1993 because my uncle had a helicopter there. This was my first experience with small aircraft at a small airport, and really was the start of my love for general aviation. Sadly, the airport was closed by the state in 2006, following the death of the owner in 1995 and subsequent abandonment by the pilots. The land was purchased in 2015 by a developer who has began turning it into a neighboorhood. Despite the fact that it is closed in real life, the field does appear in MSFS, but only as a runway and parallel taxiway. I wanted to restore it to its former glory, so that it may live on in the sim.
Landing here is a minor challenge due to trees at both ends of the runway. With trees also along the sides of the runway, you'll find it difficult to get any large wingspan in here
This is my first mod, and it was based on a single article I could find on abandoned airports, and had only a few pictures. It is mainly built using Asobo/Microsoft assets, but takes a few components from addon libraries. I didn't want to get too crazy adding in assets, I only wanted to revive the airfield and make it usable and fun. If you have any info that could help me make this mod more true-to-life, or if you have any issues with it, please let me know!
Install: simply unzip the file and drop it into your Community folder or MSFS AddonsLinker folder
Required Libraries (please read their install instructions):
- Mikea.at - AssetPack
- MSFS 2020 object library with 200+ models from towers hangars to cones (v14-2 UPDATE)
I hope you enjoy the mod!

@ KillboxAlpha,
Excellent work...very much appreciated...
Don't forget to update the version number in the manifest.json file.
Here it shows version number 1.1, but shows 0.1.0 in the manifest.

Thank you! And thanks for pointing out the version number. I will be sure to correct that on a future update, unless it's causing any issues right now
