Welcome to Oaks Park! A beautiful and fun place for the whole family! This was a fun one to make. I got burnt out on working on the Oregon Zoo(coming soon) and did this one for a fun departure. While I would like to add more detail eventually, I wanted to get something uploaded for weekend and the Zoo is still too far out.. So.. How about a fun filled trip to the Amusement park? :D
Head south of OMSI and south east from South Water Front(both available in my uploads). Directly South of Ross Island(coming soon)..
I tried some new texture filtering and sharpening without bloating the file too big or hurting performance. Its a good balance I think. The new park isn't perfect but its MUCH better then whats there normally. Changed the water area to more of a swampy bog. Cleared up the house boats along the shore and under the bridge. They look much better and more realistic now. Added some park workers, riders, lots of cars, barriers and more... Can you stunt the coaster?? ;D
Oaks Park requires several libraries to be installed. At this time only 50-75 items have been placed and may not utilize all required libraries but get them anyway as this could pull from any listed below. They are linked below. Just download, then unzip and place the folder into your community. These will be used from now on so may as well load them in now to get the most out of future PDXtreme releases. Along with these it is recommended you have the premium versions, the full package. Premium-ultra-deluxe-turbo-super or whatever they call it...

I also recommend the Illuminators PDX Night Lights paid add-on. It works with my scenery's and adds decent light to them at night. Its also a pretty great overall city night light upgrade. I'm not paid or anything I just thought I'd recommend it. I picked it up last week and was decently satisfied with it.

I'm slugging away! Spent so many hours converting assets for P.I.R(just 1 car can take 20 minutes).. Trying different techniques.. I'm working hard at trying to figure out making animations as well! It's really tricky but fun too. I'm getting it but having trouble exporting the animations from blender. I've got the OHSU air trams working and going back and forth but cant get the basic animation to export to the sim.. after I get the gondolas working in the Sim I should be able to do the race cars for PIR :D
Later down the road I'd like to come back to Oaks and add some little animated bits as well as bump up the overall visual quality..

Does not like bad at night, and high up, but up-close, buildings and rides are melting.
Hopefully there will be a new & improve version soon.

Thanks for checking it out. Photogrammetry tends to be a bit blurry, especially when rite up close. Its still an extreme improvement over whats there normally. Updates will come but the main area wont change much, it will be just adding more people, items, cars, trees and such.. I'm working on Portland International Raceway currently(spent all weekend converting and compiling assets), it just takes a lot of time gathering and planning, then making the scene. I guess maybe it doesn't seem like much but just whats here took me around 30 hours to get finished and uploaded..
