This is a cute little airport, well-done for sure! The terminal building is great, I'm not sure if the FBO signage is there, I was looking for it. Landed in the afternoon, jsut a beautiful area. Like a lot of rockies airfields, there are a few approaches that are tougher than others, and flying in from the north is definitely a little more treacherous than south approaches. Loved the care taken with the parking lot and terminal areas.

This a great beginning to a more personalized KDRO for sure. Especially for a first time scenery by the author!
Situated on the southern foothills of the rugged and spectacular San Juan Mountains of SW Colorado it's a perfect base for VFR explorations of the area. Unlike many mountainous BING terrain textures, the San Juan's were apparently imaged during very little snow cover, and enjoy unusually well balanced color (as opposed to the frequent BING blue-green wash-over tint), making a flight over their rugged peaks and valleys visually realistic and pleasingly immersive. It's one of my favorite areas to take the Got Gravel Savage Cub and land at one of the many gorgeous alpine lakes in the area (Hazel Lake being my favorite). Just take off from KDRO and fly north. In minutes you'll see what is arguably one of the most stunning areas in all of Colorado - perhaps the entire central Rockies - and in MSFS they're crisp, consistent, and refreshingly well rendered.
As for suggestions (solicited for by the author), the windows of the main terminal buildings at night are blindingly bright, the spinning yellow beacons from the two airport vehicles in front of the terminal (plus being in perfect sync) are a little distracting, and it'd be nice also to see some additional ground cast lighting from the various light fixtures in the GA hanger areas, though admittedly, without real world dusk or night shots to base this off of it might be guesswork as to how lit these GA hangar areas are really lit at night. The author mentions updates are coming, so maybe some of these are on list. Either way, it's fabulous start and a truly welcome alterative to the default airport. Much appreciated!

Thanks so much for the support, I will definitely include those fixes in the next update coming sometime next week. It's awesome to see people enjoying this amazing area of the world through MSFS.
