Version 1.2

DRUINE D5 Turbi
In the 1950s Roger Druine created the D5 Turbi (Turbulent Two-seater) intended for amateur construction. The Turbi is an extrapolation of the single-seater D31 Turbulent.
The Druine D.5 Turbi is a two-seat aircraft of wood and canvas construction, low-wing cantilever monoplane with fixed landing gear and skid at the rear.
The pilot and a passenger are located in tandem, respectively in the rear and front seats, in open cockpits.
This version of the Druine D5 Turbi is the reproduction of the plane built according to the plans created by Roger DRUINE and of which I was co-owner.
Some modifications had been made to the original plans, in particular the shapes of the rudder and the engine covers, which makes it a unique model.

What a very nice small aircraft. Great view from the cockpit to follow roads, rivers and other landmarks. And great fun to come in crabbing with a bit of rudder and counter acting bank to keep a clear view on the runway and the papi lights.

Thank you for your appreciation.
The Turbi behaves much like the real aircraft except for the significant reverse yaw absent on this model.
