Owena airstrip (AYWW) in Papua New Guinea is a 1000' dirt strip with an average slope of 13% and increasing to 17% The strip should only be approached from the West.
The scenery tries to duplicate the real world airstrip according to information from Ryan, the Missionary Bush Pilot and youtube videos.
A mixture of default and custom models have been used and the Windy Things mod used for the windsock and my own pbk-effects library has been used for smoke effects.
The scenery works with the default Asobo trees but it's better with the New Zealand Tall Tree height fix mod.
v2.1 - released to correct the icao code of the airstrip from AYKS to AYWW
Thanks for listing the ICAO change. I was going crazy wondering where AYKS came from.

When I was putting the PNG scenery together I thought I had the correct ICAO code, it turns out I was wrong. Kamusi airport is AYKS and Owena is AYWW .... my bad

So beautiful, the way you recreate these airstrips for MSFS! Thank you!
I myself did not succeed to create anything nice with the sdk, but I do have a lot of idears. Would it be possible to tune the colour of the whole strip and near surrounding to some more olivegreen and yellowish colour, like in the real life picture?
And could you replace the wooden fence along the runway with scrubs, like in the real life picture?
Thanks for creating these addon anyway, ofcourse!

Hi, thank you for the observations. I might tone down the colouration a bit. Although the runway has been adjusted the surrounding area was left as default. There is a fence along both sides of the strips, the fence I've used is too 'complete' so I will remove a lot of the slats in the fence to open it up some more

Haha, I was watching one of his videos where he landed at Owena yesterday and literally thought "man it would be cool, if someone would make that strip for MSFS2020" 😀 Thanks!
