Addon Soundpack for the RSP Robinson R44
Based upon the Robinson R44 Raven II. My second soundpack creation, made in Adobe Audition. Includes custom startup/shutdown sounds, interior/exterior sounds, etc. all taken from a real R44.
There are currently some limitations to the sounds, as the R44 is still in an early beta. Some limitations include startup duration (engine turns over and fires immediately, doesn't crank very long), transitions, and engine RPM being directly tied to collective position. RSP has done a fantastic job so far with the R44, and as they roll out new updates, the soundpack will be updated accordingly to take full advantages of any upgrades possible.
Installation:
- Make sure to back up your original/vanilla R44 sound folder!
- Drag the "rsp-r44" folder directly into your community folder
- Overwrite when prompted
- Enoy!
Does this work with the 40th anniversary version or only the airland one?

Hello!! Great job!!!!
Is any upgrade on H125 under Radar ?

Hi, yes working on the H125 on the side, but taking a bit longer as I am trying a method with L:Vars and SimVars rather than the legacy method. A bit of trial and error :)

Well I think they're awesome. Spent a lot of time around R44's at my last job. There is a slight noise that is constant...almost like a faint stall horn from a fixed wing aircraft. Any idea what it might be? Semi annoying on long flights hehe.

Hmmm... I will have to take a look and see if I can find it in the spectral frequency display. Do you recall if it was inside or outside, and approximately what power setting you were at? Hopefully I can narrow it down

Five stars for your work. Unfortunately, the sound files in the simulator sound terrible in my opinion. However, as I understand it, this is not due to you, but to the "logic" of how the sound files are called up. When you are ready to take off, the engine and the rotor blades sound as if they are still idling. You have to pull up the pitch fully, then it sounds approximately good.

Yes, unfortunately this is out of my control as you are correct, it is based on the logic of how the sounds are played. Mainly from what I can see, it appears that the driving factor here is that the collective pitch is tied directly to rotor rpm, rather than collective controlling blade pitch, and the throttle grip+governor controlling rpm. Presumably this is something that will be resolved on RSP's side in a future update(s) as the beta process continues :)

Wow wow. I just can't find any words to describe but WOW. Thank you. Thank you. The exterior sound gave the R44 a new rebirth.

Default soundpack sounded like an A/C from outside. Great soundpack!
