The second out of upcoming six packages contains points of interest in the Southwestern region of Baden-Württemberg. The castles are located in the areas of the Black Forest and the Rhine Valley between Basel and Baden-Baden.
The models are released under contract with State Office for Monumental Preservation at Stuttgart Regional Council (www.denkmalpflege-bw.de). All models provided have been created by using photogrammetry which represent the geometry and textures in high level of detail.
For version 1.0.0, the following points of interests have been adapted for MSFS 2020 and integrated into the package.
Hochburg (Emmendingen) (location)
- The stronghold, also called Hachberg Castle , is a hilltop castle 343.6 m above sea level. After the Heidelberg Castle , the stronghold is the second largest castle complex in Baden. The line of nobles known as the Margraves of Baden-Hachberg most likely derive their name from this castle and before it was razed by the French it was the second largest fortification in Baden.
Hohenbaden Castle (location)
- The Hohenbaden Castle (in founding castle Hohenbaden , today Old Castle ) in Baden-Baden was in the Middle Ages seat of the Margrave of Baden . They named themselves after the castle, which gave the state of Baden its name.
Hohengeroldseck (location)
- Hohengeroldseck is the ruin of a hilltop castle at 523.9 m above sea level. NHN in the Black Forest. It is located on a hill between the Kinzigtal and the Schuttertal in the Schönberg district of the community of Seelbach in the Ortenaukreis in Baden-Württemberg. The castle was the ancestral seat of the Lords of Geroldseck . The ruins of Alt-Geroldseck Castle are located on a spur hill 1,700 meters north.
Kastelburg Waldkirch (location)
- The Kastelburg is the ruin of a hilltop castle at 368.3 m above sea level above Waldkirch in the Emmendingen district of Baden-Württemberg . It stands on a hill 100 meters above the city center of Waldkirch.
Rötteln Castle (location)
- Rötteln Castle, located above the Lörrach suburb of Haagen, lies in the extreme southwest corner of the German state of Baden-Württemberg, just 10 kilometres (6 miles) north-east of the Swiss City of Basel. The fortification was one of the most powerful in the southwest, and today, it is the third largest castle ruin in Baden.
Staufen Castle (location)
- The Staufen castle is the ruins of a hilltop castle in a prominent location on a 375 m above sea level. NHN high hill in the north of the city of Staufen im Breisgau in the Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district in Baden-Württemberg

Super, genau das hat für mich als VFR Flieger gefehlt. Ich freue mich schon auf meine Heimat die schwäbische Alb. So wie es aussieht gibt es da dann ja einige Burgen die du implementierst 😉
